Afterwards is a collection
of Michael's poetry and paintings by well-known
artist Steve Hawley, the same two artists who
created Waiting at the Station. This
collaboration is inspired by the Gospel of Luke, the
physician who traveled with Paul, but who had no
first hand involvement with Jesus. There are nearly
40 scripture passages brought to life by Michael's
poems and further illuminated by Steve's art. Author
and reviewer Cheryl E. Rodriguez says, "Michael
Kelly Blanchard invites his readers to 'be there' to
open their spiritual eyes, hearts, and
imaginations...his poetry flows like a river...The
paintings by Steve Hawley are mesmerizing...telling
thought-provoking stories all by themselves. This
book is elegant and profound." Here's a
teaser.
Unsung Heroes is a
collection of musings from Michael Kelly
.Blanchard's prose pen, ranging in topic from guilt
to grace, shame to mercy, loneliness to
reconciliation. Seasoning the text are 25
previously unpublished song lyrics, story-poems
mostly, telling of human stumblings and
God-catchings. It is a book full of
hope for the bruised and brokenhearted, and those
flagging in their faith. As Steve Brown
says, "The kind of book you will give to
friends you care about."
